Jim Moats is a regional expert on high performance teams. In addition to developing PeerPlace, a coaching and advisory service for mid-market private companies, Jim serves 15 CEOs as a Vistage Chair. In that capacity he facilitates CEO and key executive peer-groups. Prior to founding PeerPlace, Jim served in a variety of CEO and Corporate Senior Executive roles, most recently InfoStream, American Express, and First Data Corp. Jim also led a non-profit organization helping people in Central Asia. The culmination of his ongoing studies and 30 years of experience caused Jim to believe there must be a simpler, more effective approach to helping mid-market company executives function as high performance teams. In 2005, Jim was approached by the regional president of a large, national company who needed assistance transforming his executives into a high performance team. Fourteen months later, financial improvements were significantly greater than anticipated. With these results in hand, the doctoral program at the University of Washington Foster School of Business and their researchers designed and completed a one year study to determine the effects humility has on leadership development and the corresponding financial performance of the client. With this proof PeerPlace was launched. |
